Our engineers have a rich experience in piperack design of various configurations. From the simplest ones to multi-tier piperacks supporting air coolers and other equipment, we have designed all types of piperacks for process piping.
Maximum length of a P/R module is generally selected based on temperature fluctuations, and generally varies from 30m to 45m. For a P/R module that has to accommodate horizontal pipe loops, the geometry differs from other modules. Plan bracing is required to achieve diaphram action and to transmit lateral forces from supported pipes and other equipment onto columns. Typically, frames are designed as ‘hinged’ portals, with an ‘X’ brace as elevation brace for each longitudinal frame. Operator access and crossing roads from beneath the P/R must be kept in mind while choosing the bracing type.
